One person
Ashram is an MMORPG developed entirely by a single person under the name Brainsoft Games. There is no art team, no QA team, no support rota, no night shift. The server code, the client code, the modelling, the animation integration, the balance, the website, the infrastructure and this text all come from the same hands.
We do not say this as an excuse or as a boast, but because it changes what you can expect, and we would rather you decide with the facts in front of you.
What that means in practice
- Patches ship when they are ready, not on a fixed calendar.
- There will be bugs. Some obvious ones. They are fixed in order of severity, not order of arrival.
- Support is answered by one person, in Spanish or English, usually within 72 hours. Weekends may take longer.
- The server can go down at 4 a.m. and come back when someone wakes up.
- Big features take months. Small ones sometimes take an afternoon.
What being small does not change
- The game is server-authoritative: cheating is fought seriously.
- No pay-to-win. What you have, you earned by playing.
- Your data is handled under the GDPR, with the same obligations a large studio would have.
- If something breaks and it affects you, we say so. It does not hide behind "scheduled maintenance".
Tools
Part of the art is produced with the help of generative artificial intelligence tools, always hand-edited and reviewed. It is explained in detail in the Generative AI Use notice, because we think it is the right thing to disclose.
