Pets and mounts arrive in Ashram

A companions patch: the first pet, the first mount, the Traveller's Journal and a new cave in Surya. Update required: the world checks the client version on connect. The world stays closed until the open beta on October 10.

Pet: Crystal Spirit

• A companion that fights: it floats beside the character, attacks what the character attacks or defends them, depending on its mode (Aggressive, Defensive or Passive), and has its own health, level and stats. It earns 30% of the character's experience.
• Skill tree in three branches (Attack, Protection and Utility), with five skills equipped: Prismatic Pulse, Quartz Lance, Shard Rain, Crystalline Shield, Healing Flash, Hostile Resonance and Resonant Reach. Every skill has its cooldown, shown on its slot.
• Its own bag, from 10 to 100 slots depending on its level. With Auto-Loot it picks up the loot of what you defeat together; the coins go to the character.
• Revive: while controlling the pet, pick a dead player (or the character itself) and in 4 seconds it raises them where they fell; the character gets the lost experience back. Once every 5 minutes.
• Control it: the camera and controls pass to the pet, also after falling.
• Hunger and mood: it eats Crystal Biscuit, Prismatic Fruit or Geode Delicacy (the last one makes it Strong: +15% damage and health for 30 minutes). If it falls, it comes back with a Resurrection Stone. Pashupal, Surya's pet keeper, sells its food and the stone, which can also be crafted.
• It speaks six languages, can be named once and keeps the character company at their side, circling them when they stop.
• Its health and defences grow with its level. Hitting another player's pet counts as attacking them, and defeating it as defeating them: it adds karma and the name turns red.
• In the Premium Shop, Companions section: the Crystal Spirit (2,500 Redshards) and the Revive and Auto-Loot scrolls (1,000 Redshards each). Bosses drop the scrolls too.

Mount: Blue War Tiger

• New mount slot on the character sheet. Once equipped, drag it to the action bar: mounting takes 1.5 seconds and is not possible in combat.
• +50% speed when mounted and +125% at a gallop with the sprint key. The gallop spends the tiger's stamina, which has its own bar; meanwhile the character's rests.
• The rider moves with the saddle: following the tiger's stride, breathing and turns. The tiger turns on the spot, runs diagonally, jumps and backs up at a walk.
• Attacking, being hit or using a skill dismounts the rider at once.
• In the Premium Shop, Companions → Mounts: 2,500 Redshards.

Traveller's Journal

• With the N key: items, creatures, milestones and achievements for the whole account, where everything comes from and what is left to discover. Milestones and achievements give experience.

World

• A new cave in Surya, the worm's lair, and kobold and orc camps.
• Players no longer collide with each other: the city flows without bumping.

Interface

• Target frame above the action bar, beasts included: it can be moved and remembers where it was left. Over the beasts' heads only their health bar remains, centred.
• Painted portraits for 132 beasts on the target frame.
• Inspect: another player's menu shows their full gear.
• Renewed inventory: side tabs (backpack and pet), view and sort buttons at the bottom, and the weight next to the close button.

Fixes

• The Hunting Backpack and the First Vow set materials display correctly.
